FIRST LOOK: NYLON September 2010 ‘TV Issue’ [SCANS]
As MissTisdale exclusively reported in July, Ashley and Aly are prominently featured in a whopping 8-page spread for the September issue of NYLON magazine! The girls (who met in acting class when Ashley was just 15 years old) were photographed by Editor-in-Chief Marvin Scott Jarrett. Regarding her casting as cheer captain Savannah Monroe Ashley states;
“I felt like The CW was the right fit for me and my audience and growing and moving on a bit from the High School Musical franchise,”
“I read all of [The CW] scripts, and this was the only one I went out for. It’s a lot of fun! It’s really juicy.”
Executive producer Kevin Murphy had the following, glowing review of the show’s two stars;
“We’ve really tried to make everyone feel that they’re welcome, because that’s part of the spirit of these actual real-life cheer squads: this vibe of relentless positivism. We’ve tried to suffuse our set with that in a way that you don’t normally see on TV having your people who are number one and number two on the call sheet- Ashley and Aly-embodying it. No matter how tired anyone gets they look at our two stars and go, ‘OK, they’re working hard. The least I can do is match them.’ They’re very inspiring, and I take inspiration from them, too. These two girls together…[] Well, I just think magic happens.“

This is a wonderful spread! I am so fiercely proud of Ashley. What Kevin said about both she and Aly had to be included, in it’s entirety… it’s just that special. From the positive buzz to the mass amount of promo and the obvious comradeship amongst the cast, this show deserves success.
The girls look beautiful and NYLON hit it out of the park with this shoot. The styling is on-point and that black and white shot of Ashley is drool-worthy.

Bella- You’re welcome! We’re not exactly sure when the entire shoot might become available on photo agency sites, but keep an eye on http://nylonmag.com/ as they often release alternate shots.

jh- I know you were just curious. But Ashley does not talk extensively about her relationship with Scott to the media, so we want conversation to simply remain on topic with what she does get in depth about, which is her career.
Prior to SFA being announced, she spoke about her hopes for furthering her body of work without using shock-value to attain new/older fans to USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2009-07-29-ashley-tisdale_N.htm. It’s a good read and might give better insight on the 2nd half of your question.
